Women beneficiaries of Caemba were trained in sustainable livelihoods

On Saturday, June 12, 2021, a training session was held for 70 women from the Nueva Esperanza neighborhood in Atacames on the importance of having sustainable livelihoods.

Maritza Orellana and Marjorie Guerrero, field technicians from Caemba, conducted this training with the aim of motivating and raising awareness about the importance of associativity and entrepreneurship as mechanisms to have sustainable livelihoods that allow them to improve their quality of life. The 70 women who attended this session have already received a Caemba house in Nueva Esperanza.

Comprehensive Work

For Caemba, it is important to work comprehensively. Therefore, our goal is to complete the full circle, which includes the construction of the Caemba house; capacity-building for beneficiary women to have sustainable livelihoods; support for them to form associations similar to the Textile Production Association Casa de la Mujer (ASOPROTEXCAMU); prevention of gender-based violence; and educational support for the children of these women.

This is how Caemba works comprehensively in the territories where we operate because our goal is not only the eradication of precarious housing in Ecuador but also the multiplication of well-being in the most depressed and vulnerable areas of the country.

We call on private companies and all levels of government to join our cause.
