WE BUILD DREAMS,
DIGNITY AND HOPE
Our efforts are aimed at providing decent housing to low-income and vulnerable families, thereby giving them an opportunity to grow and prosper.
MISSION
Improve the quality of life of populations affected by natural disasters and conditions of poverty, through creative, innovative and environmentally sustainable solutions.
VISION
To be an organization with international reach, recognized as a leader in the development of creative construction methodologies which use local know-how to mitigate the causes of natural disasters and conditions of poverty.
OUR TEAM
Our team and the sum of their talents allow us to carry out our work effectively, transparently and quickly. Each member has a heartfelt belief in our cause and therein lies the success of the work of our foundation.
WHY DONATE?
Your donation allows us to build bamboo houses and community centers which transform the lives of vulnerable families living in poverty.
We work with local communities to support and improve opportunities for vulnerable groups, children and women. Our efforts have focused on the construction of houses for the most needy, schools in areas abandoned by the authorities, and the creation of community centers to train and help women with small businesses so that they can support and advance their families.
BAMBOO HOUSES
Living in a decent home gives families the basis to thrive by improving the quality of life and the physical and emotional health of those who live there.
The objective of these centers is that through vocational training in trades, women heads of families acquire the knowledge and tools necessary to provide and support their families.
COMMUNITY CENTERS
Through the construction of bamboo community centers in neglected urban areas, we provide safe spaces for communal activities and workshops focused on issues of public health, education, security and coexistence.
SCHOOLS
We firmly believe that education is an indispensable tool to achieve progress for people and society.
Children of impoverished families have the right to receive an adequate education to be able to fully develop and escape the cycle of poverty into which they were born.
OUR STORY: HOW CAEMBA WAS BORN
On April 16, 2016, a 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck off the coast of Ecuador, causing extensive damage in the north of the province of Manabí and in the south of Esmeraldas. That disaster left thousands of people homeless.
CAEMBA was born as a rapid and innovative response to house families who lost everything. Over time, our model evolved from providing temporary shelters to current CAEMBA houses.
ALL OF CAEMBA'S WORK IS DONE THANKS TO PRIVATE DONATIONS.
Our work has been possible thanks to the donations of many people, companies and organizations. These donations are invested on a in human groups that live precariously and in extreme poverty.
We carry out complex field work to evaluate the sectors and families that most urgently require our help. We carry out this work together with local communities and donors thus ensuring the success of our joint mission.
