On Thursday, March 3, 2022, Cristina Latorre, director of CAEMBA, visited the «Curucusí Garden» store located at Mariano Aguilera E7-243 Street in Quito. In this place, where fair trade is promoted, enterprises such as bags, aprons, and cosmetic bags from the Textile Production Association «Casa de la Mujer» in the Atacames canton have a display window where they can be purchased.
Also available is the delicious Nea pia, which is black chili based on yucca, a product made by Siekopai women in Sucumbíos, in the Ecuadorian Amazon. This product is part of the «Bioenterprises in the Amazon» program, a project of the Raíz Ecuador Foundation – CAEMBA.
The love of an artist like Catalina Pérez Camargo, owner of this store, is what brings this wonderful place to life, opening its doors to various artists, craftsmen, and entrepreneurs like those we support at Raíz-CAEMBA.
Thank you very much to Curucusí Garden for opening this space to many women entrepreneurs in Ecuador. With your purchase, you are supporting women entrepreneurs who develop these products.
